Double Nova Lucia

Here's some more snapshots along paths into the nova fractal taken in UltraFractal running in Wine under Gentoo Linux.

It's mostly the doubleNova formula used here with straightforward layering setups - always at the same point and magnification. This means that what you see is a coherent composite picture of the behavior of the fractal function though different iteration limits at that location.

These spots are mostly near the edge of mandelfield lakes, that's where the transition from closed to open-set julia dusts usually happens at higher iteration limits. You can't easily distinguish from the shapes in the low iteration limit layers where the edge of the field will be, but it's there and it always seems to magically fit quite nicely within the dynamics of the preceding iterations.
