Other kinds of UltraIteration

I've been quite distracted from UltraFractal lately, with SideFX Houdini and Ready taking most of my spare time. I don't want to abandon UltraIterator though, so I've decided to widen UltraIterator's focus to include things I've made in Houdini and Ready.

So, lets start off with some earlier work using an otl that I developed in Houdini that solves Gray-Scott reaction diffusion on points and meshes. It even works on a curve (polyline), which when combined with continuous resampling of the curve, makes for an interesting way to grow things. In the first two examples the curve is additionally converted to a ribbon before rendering (so that it becomes a little more than just a line):



This one has the simulation running on a surface, and deforming it:


Taking this idea a little further, this one is a strange mushroom that pushes up through some simple RBD objects:
